How can the process of colour fade extend and expand a colour palette for pattern and surface design?

Fade

Fade is an ongoing project exploring the possibilities of using natural sunlight as a design tool. The material prototypes use a contemporary pattern language to challenge the perception of aged and faded material qualities. The project brings into question issues relating to the lifespan of products and the design opportunities presented by keeping materials in circulation.
